Job Title: Museum Attendant
Location: Old Log Church Museum, Whitehorse, Yukon
Details: Job starts May 12th, 2025 and runs until end of August 2025

Job Description
The Museum Attendant will perform museum front line duties including receiving visitors to the museum, collecting admission, delivering interpretive tours, conducting gift shop sales, and assisting with the delivery of special events and programming. The Museum Attendant will take on tasks required for the successful running of the museum’s gift shop including tracking inventory and sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in history, good customer service skills, experience conducting research, and be a confident public speaker.
Necessary training and support will be provided by the Director of the Old Log Church Museum. All summer positions are 16 weeks in duration. Having current First Aid Certification would be an asset. Must be fluent in English, verbal and written. Ability to speak a second language would be an asset as well. This job is made possible through funding from the Young Canada Works program. Candidates must fit the Young Canada Works criteria in order to be considered for this role. Candidates must be: A Canadian citizen, legally entitled to work in Canada, be between the ages of 16 and 30, and a student returning to school in the fall.
